Chen’s musical journey began in China since she was 4 years old. By the tender age of 12, she has obtained the highest possible piano certification conferred by Shanghai conservatory, China conservatory and Chinese Musician Association. Throughout her adolescent years, she has regularly participated in piano competitions and masterclasses and by the age of 16, she won second prize for the 3rd Irmler International Competition (Dalian). In year 2017, Chen achieved third place in the senior section of the 7th International piano competition in Milan (Italy) and second place from the Asia International piano competition in Korea (2017). In the same year, she was invited to be on the jury for ‘Water Cube Cup’ singing competition (Finland).

From 2011 to 2014 Chen was accepted to study at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Singapore) as a Diploma in music performance student under the tutelage of Dr. Nicholas Ong (The Julliard School). In 2018, Chen obtained her Bachelors in Music from Sibelius Academy.

Currently, Chen is pursuing her Masters in Classical piano performance at the Sibelius Academy under the tutelage of renowned Finnish pianists Teppo Koivisto and Juhani Lagerspetz. Since year 2014, Chen has been actively involved as a visiting pianist for Furahakören and frequently invited to perform in Finnish-Chinese cultural events held in Helsinki. Currently, Chen is a piano instructor at the International School of Music, Finland and the artistic director of the World Piano Teachers Association (WPTA) Finland.
