Originally from Beijing, Wenjing You completed her Bachelor’s studies in Singapore at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music – National University of Singapore, in the class of Jin Ta. She earned her first Master’s Degree in Interpretation Musicale avec Orientation en Concert at the Haute École de Musique Lausanne in 2017, where she studied with professor José-Daniel Castellon. She earned her second Master’s Degree from Zürcher Hochschule der Künste with a specialized Music Performance Soloist Diploma, under the guidance of professor Phillipe Racine.
As an active musician and chamber music player, she worked as a freelancer with various orchestra including the L’Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in Switzerland; guest Principal Flute in the Jiangsu Symphony Orchester in China, and Co-Principal Flute in the Beijing Symphony Orchestra.
Currently based in Oulu, Wenjing teaches flute and piccolo at ISM Finland in Chinese and English. To set up a trial lesson with Wenjing, please contact us.
