Concept Concerts: The Old man and the Sea: Sir Franklin’s lost expedition
November 27 @ 6:00 pm
Come and experience through music and words, the story of a cold and icy expedition to the North West Passage. 1845, Sir John Franklin and his men were bound for the Arctic, the biggest expedition of its kind. What would happen to make this one of the most disastrous voyages in sea faring history? With music by Debussy, Bach Beethoven, Elgar and others, immerse yourself in the bleak white landscape of the north, and learn of this fascinating story of adventure, determination, disaster and ultimately demise.
This concert is part of the Concept Concerts series at Café Carusel taking place in November, 2018. Each concert will see a theme and concept developed, telling the audience a story through music and words.
