‘Zumba que zumba’: Latin American folk and popular music

An exciting selection of Latin American music performed by Cantares, a duo formed by Venezuelan singer Nathaly Gómez and Peruvian multi-instrumentalist and musicologist Camilo Pajuelo, and Colombian harp player and singer Natala Castrillón. The program embraces a variety of musical genres such as joropo, vals, bolero, tonada, merengue, milonga, etc. from several Latin American countries. The performance includes poems and inspiring stories related to the works and their composers, stressing the socio-cultural aspects and multicultural influences through a unique diversity of rhythms and musical instruments.
