Jasmin Mönkkönen is currently studying for her Master’s degree at the Sibelius Academy in violin performance. Her education includes studies in pedagogy and she is often asked to coach violinists in various situations.
Jasmin performs as an orchestra musician, chamber musician and soloist. Recently she has performed in the Fiskars Summer Festival and Scotia Music Festival in Canada. She is also the concertmaster in the Sibelius Academy’s conducting class orchestra.
Jasmin has experience in improvisation, folk and jazz music, and is happy to use them as part of her teaching process. She also seeks to bring creativeness, empathy and a curious mindset to all teaching situations. She has studied the Alexander technique, audition skills and carrier skills during her exchange in Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York in 2022.
