Ana Pilat is a vocalist, lyricist, and dedicated vocal pedagogue whose passion for music began in her native Istria, Croatia. Over the years, Ana has collaborated with diverse modern, and world music ensembles, as well as various Big Bands, showcasing her versatility as a performer.
Ana graduated with honors in Jazz Singing from the Conservatory G. Tartini of Trieste in 2021 while completing a four-year training program at the “School of Uncovering the Voice”. Furthering her expertise, she earned a degree in pop/jazz vocal pedagogy from JAMK University of Applied Sciences in 2023. Her thesis, The Effects of Group Singing on Personal and Community Well-being, reflects her deep interest in the psychological aspects of singing and its importance.
In 2024, Ana debuted with her project “Songs from an Unknown Land,” at Trieste Jazz Fest with Klaus Gesing, Yuri Golubev, Roberto Dani and Simone Locarni. Her latest collaboration with Klaus Gesing and the Latvian Radio Big Band resulted in the album Song and Dance, released by Challenge Records and nominated for Jazz Album of the Year at the Zelta Mikrofons awards.
Through lectures, years of supervised teaching and observation of other professionals, Ana has gained an extensive knowledge of vocal technique. By blending academic knowledge with her psychology studies and a lifelong experience as a performer, her teaching approach opens to all levels and needs, making each lesson a warm and safe space for achieving healthy, effortless singing.
