Our spring semester begins on January 13, and we have space for you! We also offer continuous enrollment in our instrument and voice lessons for students of all ages. All potential students are welcome to have a trial lesson on their preferred instrument before signing up for the semester. In Music Playschool, we foster a lifelong love of music through group lessons for children where we sing, rhyme, play, listen, move, dance and make music together.

In Pre-Instrumental lessons, we introduce children to the basics of musical notation, rhythm, and instrumental performance in a fun and encouraging group setting.

ISM Finland provides instrument, voice, and music playschool lessons to the diverse community of expats, international families, and everyone interested in multicultural music education in Helsinki and Espoo.

ISM is a registered non-profit organisation with a Teaching License (laaja ja yleinen opetuslupa) from the cities of Helsinki and Espoo and is part of the Association of Finnish Music Schools (Suomen musiikkioppilaitosten liitto).

May 10: Mother’s Day Eve Choir Concert

Join us for a concert to celebrate family, love, and music at Espoo’s Lippulaiva Library on the day before Mother’s Day. The ISM Children’s choir will perform repertoire consisting of old standards and new songs that will showcase what they have learned during the spring semester.

May 18: United Through Music Free Choir Concert

Join us for a celebration of music and hope across cultures! The International School of Music Finland and the Ukrainian Association in Finland are proud to present a concert featuring music from India, Ukraine, USA, and more. Three culturally unique choirs will be performing at the event:

The Indian Music Choir is made up of children ages 6-13 who practice and perform Indian music using traditional ethnic traditions. The choir is conducted by musician and educator Ujjainee Ghosh and is based in Espoo. More information: https://ismfinland.org/indian-music-lessons/#choir

The Children’s Choir “Yasni” of the Ukrainian Association in Finland was founded in August 2022 as a result of children’s vocal classes held at the Ukrainian Center of the Ukrainian Association in Finland. The choir is made up of children ages 6-16 and is conducted by Sofiia Yakovyshyna, a professional singer and vocal coach. More information: https://ukrainians.fi/en/childrens-choir-yasni/

The International Children’s Choir brings together children ages 5-12 from a wide variety of backgrounds to perform classic songs as well as new repertoire. The choir is led by Myra Owens and is based in Espoo.

Join Our Music Summer Camps!

The theme of this year’s summer camps is The Great Musical Adventure! Each day of camp features a new adventure in a magical place! We will see dragons and unicorns and use the magic of music to explore exciting locations.
