Abby has earned a Bachelor’s degree in K-12 Music Education from James Madison University and recently completed a Master’s degree in Education and Globalization at the University of Oulu. Her thesis work at the University of Oulu focused on gender-equal music teaching, especially in early education environments. She has experience teaching in Virginia, New York, Alaska, and Taiwan. Abby has taught music playschool, piano, voice, and music technology courses, and has served as conducting assistant and primary accompanist to adult and children’s choirs.
